Stephen Colbert Spurns the Venture Bros.
We here at the TNG headquarters are huge fans of Adult Swim cartoon The Venture Bros. The story of a grown-up Johnny Quest-esque super scientist, his sheltered sons and their all-that-is-man body guard captured our interests for several reasons. Most of those reasons relate to Brock Samson's and Molotov Cocktease's rock hard bodies...but I digress.
Stephen Colbert, who provides the voice of Richard Reed-style superhero Mr. Incredible, has declined to come back for the show's upcoming third season. He apparently had his intern send the shows producers a letter saying that he had "neither the time nor interest to participate in [their] project." Ouch.
Though it sucks we might be getting a watered down Mr. Incredible, I'm just happy that we're confirmed for a third season. The current internet rumors have the new episodes coming in June, so in the meantime enjoy some testicular torsion or live-action mecha shiva.
