TNG Presidential Primary
The Presidential race seems to be the topic of interest of late, particularly in our city. TNG is curious to find out who its readers are supporting. Please vote for your preferred candidate in the polls that you see to left of your screen. Voting closes on 2/12, the date of the DC primary.
TNG encourages you to submit a post supporting your candidate (or smacking down someone else’s). Send your submissions to info@thenewgay.net.

i see that i am the third person who voted. that means not even all of the TNG contributors have voted yet. i don't want to start a big old fight, but which tool voted for edwards? i mean, come on. i have no eloquent argument to make against him. he is just gross. and dumb. the only good thing i ever heard about him was that he drank about 12 diet cokes a day. and he's stopped doing that.
Not really decided yet, so undecided could be a choice too.
Poop. The survey won't let me revise it to add "undecided." If I redo it I will lose the votes already recorded. Just vote later when you have a better idea. Sorry, Scott.
I like the 2008 version of Edwards, not 2004.
The question of "support" is difficult. Every poll I take says Kucinich is the guy for me, but he's totally unelectable. So do I support (or root for) the most electable Democrat, or the least electable Republican?
I want a president who will end the mess in Iraq, seriously gut our energy, environmental and transportation policies and fix all the other messes that GWB got us in (so sad to see all Clinton's hard work undone).
Gay marriage? Health Care? Social Security? Not big issues for me, and definitely not issues to vote on. We have to make sure we have a habitable planet 50 years from now before worrying whether old people 50 years from now can retire. Iraq, energy policy, the environment, and transportation are the big items that could retire humans as a species in the next 50 years...
