Your Monday Upper: The Bible Says a Lot of Things...
Judging by the 30 people that sent this to me and its appearance on every blog that is even tangentially related to gay issues, I doubt the above video will be new to you. But it would be way remiss of me to not share "Prop 8: The Musical" with all of you out there in TNG-ville. I hope its humorous returns only grow with repeat viewings.
This video has me bringing up a couple unpleasant associations. The first is the utter devastation of Californian's civil rights that was enacted at the last election. The second has to do with one of the background singers' resemblance to Wash from Firefly. I think Wash is cute and I also think he looks like my brother-in-law. So thinking about him makes me ponder the horrible question of whether or not I'm attracted to the father of my niece. (Hope you're not reading this, Peter!)
The third should probably be saved for another post, but here goes: I actually used to be in my high school musical. All four years. Though my biggest theatrical achievement was shouting "It was a mule!" at the beginning of Fiddler on the Roof, the sight of jazz hands and uncomfortable singing will always make a little part of me stir. It's usually my bowels.
