Last week’s Savage Love column shared the plight of a gay man with an as-yet-unexplored kink for jerking off or having sex with his boyfriend in front of a fully-clothed lady.
Dan’s advice: Make some lesbian friends, HACIM. Lots of dykes watch gay male porn, a phenomenon I would unpack in this space if, um, I had the faintest idea what was up with that. (Ladies? What is up with that?)
My personal answer: It’s parts fascination with the seldom seen and a little bit of penis envy. Really, it’s like the most magical science fair entry or something to watch a dude get a boner and shoot his load. (Even better if it's an all-male review--then you don't have to worry about that pesky internal feminist dialog that does not know when to shut the f up.) I still consider seeing Gwar’s live show just to gleefully get shot in the face with a huge dick-shaped spooge gun. And I think, in the filthy corners of my mind, it makes role-playing & strapped sex more "real" if I have some live action models to work from. Anyone else got an answer for Dan?

Yes, and not really what I'd expected from TNG.
One would think that TNG would make fun at the columnist for oversimplifying what is actually a complex issue, and that distinctions between sexual fantasy and real-life desires would be made. But it seems we get the "most magical science fair entry" POV instead. Or something. ;)
Come on, people. Lesbos love peni. I mean, they're so weird! They move, stuff shoots outta them... Since we don't get to see em a lot, of course I would watch two dudes do it! I'm also not sure if people have heard of third wave feminism here and being comfortable with all parts of your sexuality...give me a break women's libbers...oh, and using "pussy" as a derogatory term, pretty feministic.
Not a lesbian, so can't answer Dan's question, but I love how he is entirely unfazed by the idea that a gay man might enjoy a woman watching him jerk off, but is totally at a loss as to why a lesbian might want to watch a man jerk off. (Dan? What's up with that?)
i completely agree elenis. how totally irresponsible of coach to winkingly answer a winked question from from a column full of winking. her internal feminist dialogue is an absolute pussy.
Oh, it may very well be a cultural thing then, because I didn't get the joke this time. I thought I understood what the winking was about but it just didn't make me smile. :P
However, this last sentence of yours did, so mayhaps we are on the right track again ;)
