Recap: Homo/Sonic w/ My Dear Disco

Two minor miracles happened in the District on Saturday: First, the coinciding bookings of Homo/Sonic and MixTaint provided DC's alterna-crowd the ability to party hop. Secondly, a band actually roused the Black Cat's audience to dance. My Dear Disco, the queer-fronted 7 piece-band that drove all the way from Ann Arbor to play at Homo/Sonic, moved their fans to never-before-seen heights of body motion with their mixture of covers (Girls Just Wanna Have Fun) and original songs. They were great.

The following dance party was pretty fun too. Michael and I began to DJ shortly after 11:30 and went strong until after 2. Thanks again to everyone for coming out.
