Saturday: Homo/Sonic w/ Little Dragon at the Black Cat Mainstage

This reposted as a reminder to come out to Hom/Sonic this Saturday.

There are two kinds of people in this world: those that make arbitrary, absolute statements and those that don't. Also, people who love Thanksgiving and people who think a anesthesia-free circumcision would be less traumatic. I'm in the second camp. That is why I'm so excited that TNG's next Homo/Sonic dance party is taking place Saturday, Nov. 29th, on the Black Cat mainstage. Our last two Homo/Sonics were a lot of fun and we're happy to do it again in a way that might relieve some holiday stress.

Plus, we'll be joined this time by the band Little Dragon. You might know their frontwoman Yukimi Nagano as Jose Gonzalez' girflriend, but their upbeat trip-hop could not be more different from his campfire music.

It is especially important to note that this party is taking place on the Black Cat's MAINSTAGE. That means we'll have much more room than last time and no one will have to wait in line to get in.

There's a Little Dragon mixtape below the fold. The party's details are right here:

good one. my favorite is from kurt vonnegut though. there are two kinds of people in this world: those who think there are two kinds of people, and those who know better.

I actually believe the world can be divided into camps of those whose arbitrary favorite book is The Great Gatsby and those whose is Catcher in the Rye. Everything I need to know about a person can be gleaned from which way they lean.

before i express too strong an opinion here...which is yours?

I'm a Gatsby guy, but my boyfriends likes Catcher in the Rye so I'm open minded. Plus its really hard to offend me, so opine away.

Oh wow - GREAT playlists! I wish I had discovered this earlier. Have been trying to find a good place to dance since I moved to DC from B-more in August. Where else can you hear Ladytron, Depeche Mode, and George Michael in the same night? I'll definitely be there on Saturday! It'd be great to see some Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Pet Shop Boys on there....
