Wednesday: Grind The Vote at BeBar

Are you interested in mixing partying and politics? Head to BeBar Wednesday, July 30, for Grind the Vote. The event, which is sponsored by Spread magazine, HIPS, Different Avenues, and Be: XX, supports political and and economic justice for sex workers. It's a dance party, but be sure to check out the politically-inspired performances, including drag acts and burlesque.

Grind the Vote events are taking place throughout the country in an effort to organize the sex worker electorate into a political force. If you want to learn about sex worker rights struggles in the District, go to BeBar on Wednesday. There will also be drink specials and a raffle!
