this looks horrible. oh so cutting edge. and trans excluding.

So this may not be applicable to a huge segment of the population here, but: do people know of events and ways to meet like-minded folk for the under-21 crowd? I am stuck in that wasteland between 18 and 21, a few years into college, too old for youth-oriented spaces but not yet welcome in bars. Every time I get excited about a show or a party advertised here, it seems like it turns out to be 21+. Do I just have to suck it up and put off finding my place in DC's queer community until I'm liquor-legal?

This party doesn't look like it is.

Anonymous: I mean this question sincerely, but what about this preview looks trans exclusive? If it came off that we we would like to fix it, but first need to know what was offensive in the first place.

We were asked if we wanted the party to be 18+. At first we thought we'd keep it legal drinking age. But since in the first 2 hours of this being posted we got a frown for being ageist, we thought we'd knock it down to 18. Consider this our effort to reach out to queer youth.

I didn't know they gave you that option at the Black Cat. I was under the impression that it was all ages, all the time.

wow, way to make the youngies feel unwelcome.

TNG editors are a bunch of snobs

"TNG editors are a bunch of snobs"

Why? Because they are trying to provide more events for gays/trans in DC? Do you read their other various posts asking people in DC to write in events they'd like to see? They can't read your minds.

Are you too much of a snob to be constructive and show your real name? I can't stand jealous people like you who choose snide remarks over productivity.

Maybe Anonymous is trying to be destructive because Anonymous doesn't view what's going on as "productive" and doesn't want their name associated with a blog that rediscovers and reconstrues everything to sell itself as the only original gay thing happening in a city that's had a lot of amazing gay things going on in it for 60 plus years.

What blog is this person reading? Most of what I read here are highlights of all the amazing things going on around the city. Hateful people will always find a way to hate. How old gay.
