Monday: Firewater

Firewater plays tonight at the Black Cat, on 14th and T Streets NW. Tickets are $12, show at 8PM, and there are two opening acts.

Singer Tod A wandered the world for three years, writing an entertaining blog and making music that became his band's new record, "The Golden Hour," which he made with the help of musicians that he met during his travels. Check out the video above for a synopsis of this interesting project.

You can also listen to samples after the jump, and support TNG by purchasing the "The Golden Hour."

God... I love this band!
So glad to hear they're still touring - I let out a little scream when I saw them listed in the paper the other day.

Did you go to the show? The best $12 I spent all year. My bf got a poster that the entire band signed. The upstairs was only half full, but those that were there screamed enough for a packed house. I'm hoarse now. By the second song Tod A was dancing in the crowd, and ran the length of the main floor with bongos trying to get the crowd dancing. Very memorable night.
