TNG: In Case You Missed It - 1/9/09

Welcome to TNG in 2009! While we thoroughly enjoyed our time off – and we hope you liked the opportunity to re-read some of our classic content – we have to admit: it’s good to be back. However, as so often happens when returning from time off, it can be rough getting back into the swing of things and stuff gets overlooked. So, in the interest of getting everyone caught up, we’d like to present a digest of some of this past week’s most popular and discussed posts.

In case the record isn’t broken yet, it bears repeating that this site is only as strong as its readers and contributors – so we invite you to be both! If, after your scan this post, you see a topic that’s missing that you would like to see covered, or something which warrants further exploration, write down your thoughts and submit them!

Anyway, for now, come along with us below the jump as we take a magical journey down short-term memory lane.

This week:

In Commentary:

• We rocked the suburbs in a different way when we took sex out of the city.

• David Stalling shared his personal story about not feeling loved in Virginia when he was pulled over for speeding.

• Ben wondered if anyone was even in the Christmas Spirit this year. Were you?

• We presented a veritable buffet of sex, food and double entendre, and you ate it up.

• Michael got in the ring and shadowboxed with HIV.

In Music:

• TNG staff shared what tunes got us through our holiday break, and then invited you to sing along.

• Zack presented a comprehensive list of the live music coming our way in the next couple of months.

• Ben attended a Wu Tang concert and shared the experience the rest of us.

In Politics:

• We watched The View and, um, discussed political philosophy. You know, like you do.

Also:

• We told you what you’d be up to this weekend.

• We recapped our latest, wildly-successful Homo/Sonic and had you mark your calendars for the next one.

Was your favorite post or discussion left out? Be sure to make your case below! Have a great weekend!
