Happy Holidays from TNG

Playing for change is a movement to help build schools, connect students, and inspire communities in need through music. Featured in the video above is a cover of a Ben E. King classic by musicians around the world adding their part to the song as it travelled the globe. The bluesman from New Orleans, Grandpa Elliott, is someone I've seen numerous times when i haunted the French Quarter during college. Every time I go to NOLA, I find him on Royal Street, ask him to play "spanish harlem," and tip him five bucks. He's in fine form in this video.

Regardless of your religion or lack thereof, TNG hopes you take some time this holiday season to reflect on what connects us. In spite of struggles or disagreements both internal and external, to make it through, we need one another.

Gorgeous, fun and humbling - like all good things. Thanks, Ben!

I'm checking out Playing for Change now. If I spontaneously move to the other side of the world, you'll know why.

if their mission is merely to inspire, i think this video does a pretty good job.
