"Girls Rock" Screening - Sunday, 12/14
"Girls Rock" will screen for free (RSVP required) on Sunday, December 14, at 10:30am. Details beyond the fold.
Earlier in the month we had a post about Portland's Rock and Roll Camp for Girls and a new book that had been written about it. The trouble with a book about rock and roll is that you don't get to hear the product... which is why if you missed it back in April, you may be interested in your second chance to see "Girls Rock."
The film follows several of the sick young women who rocked out in Portland, gave gender norms a kick in the ass, and are probably a lot cooler than you're supposed to be at age 12 or whatever. The showing is free and you'll have a chance to hear a live performance and win a sweet guitar. Continuing reading for all the juicy details.
