Dec. 30: "Lust in the Dust" Screening

Enjoy dorking out to obscure and/or bizarre films? If you answered ‘Yes!,’ be sure to check out the Washington Psychotronic Film Society’s screening of the 1985 film Lust in the Dust on December 30th.

The movie, which is described as a “kinky western that features song and dance twisted in with bitter humor, hot sun, partial nudity, and Mexican doodads,” stars Tab Hunter and Divine, “the always shocking and highly entertaining transvestite performer.” Divine received the dubious honor of being nominated for a Razzie Award for the role, so you know it’s going to be chock full of campy goodness.

WPFS screens its films at The Meeting Place, 1707 L Street, NW. The screening begins at 8pm with a viewing of John Waters' The Diane Linkletter Story. All showings are free, but a donation of $2.00 is suggested.

As always, continue to let us know about any off-the-beaten-path (or on, for that matter) events you think we should get the word out about!
