Your Monday Upper: Yes, Papa Bear!
Mondays suck. So every Monday TNG brings you a fun video to ease the pain.
Roughly one year and eleven months ago, I moved to DC. The only friend I had in San Francisco moved here three months before me, so I figured I could live out west when I was a little older and I'd kill a year in Washington in the meantime. Jokes on me! I'm as firmly ensconced here as a closeted republican in an airport bathroom and I have no plans to go anytime soon. But oy, living here in an election season. Why did no one warn me that I couldn't so much as pick my nose at a bus stop without getting into a political debate? How can people actually enjoy this saturation of politics into their day to day lives?
Luckily, an overabundance of politics can breed some pretty awesome humor. In the clip above, John Stewart gives a nice primer to election year hypocrisy.
(And sorry for the poor quality, the official video for this has been yanked already. That also explains the opening and closing titles, which were not in the original.)
