I've never had the winter blahs this bad in my life, and I'm from Chicago. Right now im pissed at DC and its half-assed winters for sensitizing me to 40 degree weather (which isnt that cold) when two years ago I would laugh in the face of 20 degrees and snowy.
Oh, I just remembered how I got through the winters in college- frequent and irresponsible alchohol consumption. Anyone wanna join me for a beer?
Agreed, Zack. My mother makes fun of me to no end for my inability to handle cold weather anymore. And I just went to the mall yesterday where I got spring/summer clothes, so now I want warm weather more than ever.
the strangest thing has happened. After months/years of bitching about the cold...I'm not as cold anymore. It's strange. The last couple weeks I have had people around me who are complaining about it, but its as though I don't even notice it. I have a theory that because I'm always under-layered, therefore colder than others, I have somehow forced myself to acclimate to cold weather. I feel brilliant right now.
Did anybody watch the oscars last night? Who missed Billy Crystal? I don't know if the show is becoming more boring or I just care less.
Here is a question for all:
Who is the bigger douche bag, Johnny Depp or Paul McCartney?

I just got over being sick for nearly 2 weeks. My primary symptom was a sore throat that just wouldn't quit. Around day 10, I started getting other cold-like symptoms. At the doctor's office, they said they knew about this one and said it usually lasts between 10 and 14 days. Ick.
If you haven't caught it yet, DON'T! Wash your hands regularly and don't make out with anyone who has the sniffles.
Oh, and are the Oscars even relevant anymore?

i just got over the stupid flu/cold/fever thing going around. i dodged it so many times too but it took a visit from my sick brother to seal my fate. took me almost a full week to kick!
i wouldnt fuck matt damon. i especially wouldnt fuck ben affleck. he would not get my taco flavored kisses.
oscars dont care about brad renfro. and i kind of never cared about the oscars to begin with.

the oscars are total bs, you couldn't pay me to sit through it (well i'd actually probably do it if you provided the beer and chinese food) but when i found out that no country for old men actually won it made me happy.
I don't like Johnny Depp because I think he is a moron who plays the same role over and over again. He even looks the same in many of his roles. Edward Scissorhands, Ichabod Crane, Sweeney Todd???
And as an ex-Nader supporter, I think his vote totals will be marginal at best. That is, if he can even get on most ballots. He has every right to run if he wants to but people have every right to not vote for him too. This is still a democracy, at least for now. The larger problem is that we need to have Instant Run-off Voting that would prevent the "spoiler" phenomenon. Democrats and Republicans have the power to enact that but they choose not to, so I can't say I have much sympathy when a Perot or Nader bites them in the ass.
i'm glad i'm not the only one who has been sick. 101.9 degree temp still but that's a lot better than 102.9 where i was stuck the whole weekend. i've spent 72 hours, at this point, falling in and out of consciousness, watching law & order marathons, and having weird nightmares about pad thai and slant patterns.

I had absolutely bizarre dreams when I was sick, too.
And I like Johnny Depp. He's on the list of men I would actually like to sleep with.
