TNG Flashback: Gay Couples — Not as F**** Up As You Think
The work day is almost over. We hope you use your last ounce of concentration to revisit this year-old TNG article. Originally published by Ben on 2/6/2008

A new study in the Journal of Developmental Psychology finds that Gay Couples Are Just As Committed As Straight Couples. Imagine that.
The referenced article also states that:
San Diego State University and the University of Vermont found that same-sex couples, regardless of their legal status, were more satisfied with their relationships than heterosexual couples. Gay couples are also reported as having more positive feelings toward their partners and less conflict than their heterosexual counterparts.
After reading this, I understand and agree with the belief that gays are a threat to straight marriage. If gays are given the same legal rights that strengthen straight marriages as well as the symbolic victory of being equal to straight couples in the eyes of the law, gay relationships will likely become even stronger than they are now. Societal infrastructure will become more supportive of our unions and our own relationship cynicism and internalized homophobia will likely decline with the understanding of what we are capable of, allowing us to bond at even deeper levels than before.
We're already making straight people look bad. We would make their already poor attempt at marriage look even worse. In time, they would have no choice but to scrap their notions of relationship & marriage and do whatever we're doing. Shit, we already dress them, entertain them, and care for them in disproportionate numbers. It just makes sense that we finish the job.

SERIOUSLY. I've played over 200 wedding receptions as a bassist, and too many OH-SO-HOLY MATRIMONY EGO-fests as a church organist/pianist. The male singer was gay 98% of the time.
Those poor male singers and dancers in the South with their beards....talk about a "cover" girl.
about time the truth gets promoted
