"What You Don't Know" by Edward Jackson
This is actually an older photo. What you don't know is that the quiet, tranquil bar was usually covered in guys wearing nothing but a pair of socks stuffed with dollar bills. A few years ago I was doing some work for the Leather Rack, and the manager at a strip bar called Heat (it used to be La Cage and was demolished to build the baseball stadium) volunteered some of the dancers to be models for photo shoots. Yeah, it was pretty awesome. This particular day we did a shoot in the club. Something that will forever confuse me is how a guy can get up on a bar, completely nude and in various states of arousal, and still be totally insecure about his looks. I shot this dancer in patent leather in the main room, latex in the champagne room, and with another dancer downstairs in the locker room-one in a towel, the other in a black jock strap. Ah! The good old days. After the steamy shoots and before the bar opened, I sat down to have a drink.
