Out for Work Holiday Party Fundraiser, Featuring Tim Gunn

Everyone's favorite "Project Runway" star, Tim Gunn, will be hosting an OUT for Work event on Friday, December 12 at Halo. OUT for Work is an organization dedicated to helping members of the gay community network and easily transition from academia to the workplace through preparation and empowerment. This year, OUT for Work held its fourth annual National Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Ally College Student Career Conference and PRIDE Career Fair.

Gunn, a good friend of the organization, will make an appearance at the holiday party at Halo, 1435 P St. NW. The event is cosponsored by the Greater Washington Fashion Chamber of Commerce. Last year, OUT for Work honored Gunn with an OUTstanding Individual Award for his achievements as an out gay professional.

Tickets only available in advance. Order online now.

Tim Gunn? Project Fagway? Are you drunk? How "New Gay" is that?

I believe Project Rungay is a much more appropriate term.

Actually, you're right. Project Rungay is better. Still, is far from what I visualize when I think New Gay.

I helped to start this site, and I can tell you both that new gay is pretty much in the eye of the beholder. I don't even know what the hell it is. Just define yourself instead of letting a ghetto mentality do it for you, and you're in. I've never seen a full episode of Project Runway (that's his show, right?), but I read a Metro Weekly interview with Gunn, and he seems like a substantial man who has done well, and is a good human being. Cut him some slack.

I read that article in details magazine. I was disgusted as well. Would you write something about it? I was just going to ignore it, but if you can, vent a little.

I think that tim gunn was amazing. he was so nice to everyone. Of course as DC gay men and women we must find a negative in all that are tring to be good.

typical..

this is why nothing ever gets done, because the people in our capitol city just want to complain, not change.
