Germany Opens Memorial to Gays Killed by Nazis

A reader forwarded along a link to a video (below the fold) that is currently being shown in a new memorial to the homosexuals killed in the Holocaust, which recently opened in Berlin. The video above tells the main story via an AP video clip. The video shown inside the memorial simply shows two young men kissing in a park, including ear whispering and long gazes into each others eyes.

Designers of the memorial believe that no matter how many rights we are granted, straights are most uncomfortable with the physical sexual acts between same sex partners. I'm not sure if the video is intended to desensitize people to gay actions or just force them to recognize what is at the heart of "gayness."

Were lesbians targeted as well or just gay men?
