Weekend Art Roundup

My apologies, TNG-land. I don't have a weekend art roundup for you today, since I'm about to turn in my master's thesis tomorrow. I've spent the last few months eating, sleeping, and breathing Emily Dickinson, as many of you have probably realized, since I haven't been able to talk about anything else.

So, if you have any art events, leave 'em in the comments. And wish me luck on my scary, looming defense.

Amy, I apologize in advance for adding a picture to your post. I figured "No art roundup" deserves a selection from the Museum of Bad Art.

I find it funny, anyway.

Amy-have you read WILD NIGHTS by Joyce Carol Oates about the last days of Dickinson (among others)? If you have, disregard, and if you haven't, you're probably not inclined to now, but just thought I would bring it up. Good luck!

I would go so far out of my way to see the painting included with this post. Is it supposed to be LaToya Jackson with a phallic horse?

RB - I actually haven't read it, though JCO was my college graduation speaker. I'll have to add it my reading list.

And Ben, that pic is horrifying. Do you know about my fear of horses?
