Tonight: Smart Ass Trivia Night @ Nellies

Andy over at Smart Ass Trivia Night at Nellies keeps us guessing this week with another preview question.
Last week's trivia question was a bit of a softball, but it was so appropriate for the DC holiday that I couldn't resist. We asked: What recording artist encouraged you to "emancipate yourself from mental slavery"?

It was indeed Mr. Bob Marley from his "Redemption Song". Here's what I loved about that question though. It was pretty easy, but there was still enough room for someone's mind to wander over to The Artist Formerly (and once again) Known as Prince and his 1996 album "Emancipation" when he was frequently seen with the word 'Slave' written on his face. Now, had anyone referenced Mariah Carey's "The Emancipation of Mimi" then a little part of me inside would have died.

Ok, this week we're introducing something new at Smart Ass. If you've ever wanted to join in on the trivial fun of Smart Ass but for whatever reason haven't been able to get enough people together to make up a team, then this is the week for you! We're setting aside a space for single players to meet and form a "pick-up team" if you will. We hope it will be a fun and interesting new way for people to meet - so come on out! We're calling the team "Strangers With Candy" and they're our inspiration for this week's sneak peek question.
