Not Everything is Supposed to Be Clean!
It's no secret that this country has a thick streak of germ-phobia. The thick, alcohol odor of Purell that will assault my nose on most metro rides proves that a lot of people are scared of dirt. The above ad, though, for Aaah Toilet Paper Foam (which advertises itself as an alternative to dry toilet paper) shows that we have taken it one step too far. Human beings have been taking bowel movements for dozens, if not hundreds, of years with very few resulting complications. I know that being a gay man has made me much less scared of poop and butts than the average person, but this product strikes me as fastidious to the point of absurdity.
If you can't handle your own butt being dirty, you shouldn't have one. If you can't handle someone else's being dirty, you shouldn't be playing with it. But then, what do I know? I think its a waste of time to even put down toilet-paper squares in public bathrooms. That could make me a candidate for getting pubic lice from a toilet seat, but so be it.

my favorite part of the clip is at the end when she says, "finally feel clean where it counts!"
