Recap: TNG Vernal Equinox Party

Five notable things about the TNG Vernal Equinox Party:

  • The pictures from the party can be viewed here. I didn’t take any of the crowd downstairs. I consistently drank shots of JD and chased them with PBR for 3 hours prior to taking these, so many of the pictures didn't make the cut. Those that did aren't that great either, but whatever. Click "slideshow" for proper viewing.
  • We had more women this time. At our first party It was probably 90/10 men. This time it was 80/20. Next time, we want to do even better. It's important to us at TNG to create spaces where gays and lesbians mix. Why? Because we like each other. We would like each other even more if we got to know one other.
  • Straight people showed up. You invited some of your straight friends, and they seemed to have a good time. Right on.
  • Tom Goss, one of our favorite gay people, provided live music for the first half of the evening, along with Samuel Lee and Matt De Nesnera (the cute kid who looks like he fell off the back of the partridge family bus). They did a great job, and were very well received.
  • We packed the joint. The crowd was thick from 8:30 until about 11:30, and there was still a small crowd there when I took my drunk ass home at midnight.

TNG will continue its effort to create community and throw more parties that provide mixed crowds, no attitude, great music of the non-thump thump variety, and lots of fun. Please stay tuned.

Yay, Josh and I made it into the album! But yikes, is my forehead really that big?

Awesome party, everyone. Can't wait for the next one! ^_^
