Saturday: D.C. Transmasculine Society Fundraiser

The D.C. Area Transmasculine Society (DCATS) will be holding a drag/talent show benefit tomorrow night at Phase 1. With gender protection getting the short shrift in the ENDA bill, it’s necessary for the whole queer community come together to support trans rights, and this fundraiser is a great place to start.

The drag and talent show will be emceed by Kitty Victorian (pictured), and starts at 8:30 p.m. There’s an $8 cover at the door. Phase 1 is located at 525 8th St., SE.

The DCATS is a peer-facilitated social and support group for people on the transmasculine spectrum — anyone who identifies as a butch lesbian, genderqueer, transgender, or somewhere in between is welcome. Visit their web site for more info.
