Thursday: Amy Sedaris

Amy Sedaris is just amazing. First she brings us years of laughs as Jerri Blank. She made a few hilarious guest appearances on Sex in the City. Then she writes a book about entertaining at home. She has gorgeous pictures taken of herself with made-up black eyes and prosthetic limbs. And now... Now we have no idea what she's up to. But she's going to be doing it here in DC this Thursday. For only 15$.

Here's what we do know, from the Sixth and I Historic Synagogue Website:

Amy Sedaris is an actress, author and comedian, best known for her role as "Jerri Blank" on the television show Strangers with Candy. Sedaris entertained audiences in the movies Elf, School of Rock, Maid in Manhattan, and the film version of Bewitched. Along with her brother, author and essayist David Sedaris, Amy has co-authored several plays. This program is part of the 6th in the City series for young professionals and is underwritten by the United Jewish Endowment Fund. Tickets are $15 in advance, $25 at door, with group rates available. Tickets are available through TicketMaster.
What does this mean? Part of their "series for young professionals?" Is going to morph into a Jerri/Florrie and give us some motivational speeches? Or teach us how to make cheese balls? There's only one way to find out. Are you game?
