Holiday Greetings, Weekend Events

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of the year. I really get into all the earth tones, high levels of alcohol consumption, unquestioned naps, multiple desserts, and the rest of the decadence we tend to associate with giving thanks. Normally I spend Thanksgiving with my family, but over the past few year's I've been more and more likely to spend this holiday with friends, as I'm doing this year. (Thanks for your hospitality, Parker!)

If you're staying in town this weekend and looking to meet some new "family," or in DC visiting family and need to escape them, consider these options below the fold...

Check out local ska band The Pietasters at the 9:30 club tonight. Or stay in and rest up for a busy weekend!

Taint is going to be really fun on Thanksgiving Thursday night, and as it turns out, the first 90 minutes will be DJed DJ PJ, also known as yours truly, TNG Michael. This will be my first DJ gig at a space were people could actually dance, so come on out and Dance: Dance Dance Dance.

Friday night has They Might Be Giants at the 9:30 club. And the Black Cat's blue room has Close To The Edge, "classic hip hop and dance tracks"night hosted by DJ Dredd, co-owner of Vegetate.

If you already have tickets to see Tegan and Sarah at Lisner on Saturday night, then lucky you. If not, check out Bliss at the Black Cat for a fun night of indie/electro tunes.
